Jamen Meistrich is a filmmaker, producer, and creative entrepreneur from New Jersey whose love for cinema started as a kid making scrappy home movies with friends and a camcorder. That early obsession never faded; it evolved into a career dedicated to empowering others to tell their stories with the same passion, freedom, and authenticity that first drew him to the medium.
As the founder and CEO of Big Lettuce Entertainment, Jamen is building a new kind of production and distribution company; one that doesn’t just spotlight bold voices but hands them the mic. Deeply inspired by films that take risks, break form, and celebrate unconventional lives and personalities, Jamen’s work reflects a belief that storytelling is at its best when it’s unfiltered and unapologetic.
With a background in narrative film, digital media, and independent production, he blends grassroots hustle with a sharp eye for talent and a deep respect for creative autonomy. Under his leadership, Big Lettuce has become a launchpad for Gen Z filmmakers, supporting stories that might otherwise be overlooked; and making sure they reach the audiences who need them most.
Jamen’s mission is simple: give artists the resources and freedom to create without compromise. Through a key partnership with the global streaming platform Red Coral Universe, Big Lettuce offers direct-to-audience distribution that aligns with this vision; bypassing traditional barriers while preserving the heart of each project.
At his core, Jamen is still that kid from Jersey — in love with weird, wonderful stories and the power they hold to shift perspective. With Big Lettuce, he’s creating space for a new generation of filmmakers to do just that.
